WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
What can I expect from a Naturopathic Visit?
The first office visit is approximately an hour and a half long. During this time an extensive medical history is taken to assess many aspects of the patient’s health, pertinent physical exams are performed, and a treatment plan is created. Dr. Sinclair works with her patients to create a specific health plan that works for them. The plan may include botanical or nutritional supplements, homeopathy, dietary changes, prescription medications such as bio-identical hormones, exercise and / or body-work. Therapy is tailored to each individual patient.
Follow-up visits last between 30 and 60 minutes.
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately it is the other way around. Insurance doesn’t cover Naturopathic
Medicine in the state of New Hampshire. Other states such as Oregon, Washington and
Hawaii have insurance coverage for Naturopaths. These insurance companies began to
cover Naturopathic care because the customers (you) demanded it. If you would like
your insurance company to cover Naturopathic care, call them today and let them know
what you, as their customer, would like as part of your health care plan.
How many visits does it usually take until I feel better?
This varies from patient to patient depending on complexity of the case and patient
compliance to the treatment plan. The root of doctor docere means to teach. Dr.
Sinclair’s goal is to teach her patients how to find wellness and maintain it. This
empowers the patient to take charge of their own destiny and ultimately leads to fewer
visits to the doctor.
